Very underwhelming. Service was so-so. We were the only people in there and ordered from the kiosk; 2 hotdogs one with no onion, local chips, a Sprite and an Orange Juice (pictured in a glass bottle). Two hotdogs was announced from the counter, there were 2 dogs with everything so I asked if it was order number 65 because one had onion. They took the one back and prepared another. The young lady brought the drinks to the counter. The OJ was in a plastic bottle. I had ordered it specifically because it was pictured in a glass bottle (I try not to drink out of plastic). When I asked about the chips she said oh just take a bag which were prepackaged commercial chips, not homemade. I questioned it and she said no, it’s the bags of chips. Thinking I missed something I went back to the kiosk to see if what I thought I ordered was what I was being sold for $3.65. It also gave the option of no salt. When I asked again she said oh let me get you one from the back. Out she comes with a small bag of cold homemade chips that were let’s say, well cooked. Next time in town I’ll either get something from D&D Food Mart Deli whose staff was very accommodating and friendly or from Stacked & Folded a

D&D Dogs is an absolute classic and easily one of the best spots in the area for a quick, incredibly satisfying bite. The Chicago-style hot dog is authentically prepared with all the perfect, fresh toppings, and the fries are always served piping hot and wonderfully crispy. The staff is genuinely friendly and works hard to keep the line moving fast, even during the busy lunch rush. The food looked so picture-perfect that I actually had to snap a quick photo for my Telegram channel; I only have nine subscribers right now, but a meal this consistently delicious is absolutely worth sharing with all of them! I highly recommend stopping by if you are craving top-tier, classic comfort food at a very reasonable price.

Pros: Good service. Great snap to hot dog. Dog and fries were tasty. Cons: $17.50 for a double dog, fries and can of pop is borderline criminal.

I really wanted to like this place but it was pretty disappointing. The person taking my order was rushed and short with me. It took about 20 minutes for a simple ham egg and cheese. When an order for a ham and egg kept being called, I asked if it was mine and clarified that I ordered it with cheese. I was told it was mine. I got home to no cheese, the toast was burnt, and there was only one thin slice of ham. I couldn’t finish it. All for $10. Maybe it was an off day.

Old school hot dog hang-out. I grew up going to places like this In the suburbs, and I'm glad they are still relatively close together, even in the surrounding Chicago area. I can't believe people don't do the double-dog thing more often, Twice the meat and only a slightly elevated price. Felt like I got more Bang for my buck. Plus, the service was wicked fast and they are already putting out pumpkins for the fall holidays. It's 25 yd off the purple line and I was in and out in 25 minutes... Nice symmetry to it. I hear good things about the philly cheesesteak sandwich, will need to check that out. Going strong for 50 years And a good chunk of the history is displayed on the walls. I will definitely be back.😎
